Your body and mind are a whole. Negative thoughts and emotions therefore have an effect on your body in a physical sense as well as an emotional one. As a result of negative thoughts, emotions, and stress, your body can experience unpleasant physical states such as muscle tension, fatigue, sleep difficulties, pain (neck aches, backaches etc.), digestive problems such as nausea and upset stomach, headaches, and an abundant release of cortisol (a stress hormone) as the body’s natural ‘fight or flight’ response can become dysregulated.
An integrative approach works with the body and the mind to release the negative impact that stress and negative emotions have on your physical health. Releasing these from the body also helps clear the mind, improve anxiety, stress, depression, burnout, trauma, and calm the nervous system.
Our Unique Mind-Body Work:
Our method is a form of body-work which combines different forms of energetic and physical techniques to help release armoring in the body and related emotional connections. The focus of this work is not only on fostering a deep relaxation of muscular armoring and tension, but also the emotions that may be blocked within.
This technique combines the work of:
- Jin Shin Do
- Shiatsu
- Kinesiology
- Massage
Jin Shin Do is a body-mind release technique based on the Japanese healing practice of Jin Shin Jyutsu and the principles of body segmental armoring of Wilhelm Reich. This unique union of East and West is based on Traditional Acupuncture Theory. Jin Shin Do uses the deep, extraordinary meridians, along with the organ meridians in order to access and rebalance blockages in the emotional, physical, and mental structure of the body.
